Dogoteka DogoMaxy – An Easy Addition to Daily Feeding

A feed supplement should fit easily into your daily routine. DogoMaxy by Dogoteka is a complementary feed in tablet form for adult dogs. The tablets can be fed directly or mixed into the daily feed ration.

Each pack contains 60 tablets weighing 2 g each, giving a net weight of 120 g.

The Ingredients Explained

Glucosamine Sulphate
Glucosamine belongs to the amino sugar group. DogoMaxy contains glucosamine sulphate derived from crustacean shells. According to the manufacturer’s declaration, it accounts for 20% of the formula.

Chondroitin Sulphate
Chondroitin sulphate belongs to a group of substances called glycosaminoglycans. In this formula, it is derived from bovine cartilage and is declared at 20%.

Chicken Liver and Heart Powder
These ingredients are made from dried and ground chicken liver and chicken hearts, respectively. The product therefore contains chicken-derived ingredients.

Plant-Based Ingredients
The published formula includes mangosteen, turmeric and Malabar tamarind. Mangosteen is known by the botanical name Garcinia mangostana. Malabar tamarind is referred to as Garcinia cambogia. These two plants should not be confused with common tamarind.

The manufacturer markets this plant blend under the name ProTrixan.

Hydrolysed Chicken Sternal Cartilage
“Hydrolysed” means that components are broken down into smaller units during processing. According to the manufacturer, the chicken sternal cartilage used contains collagen, chondroitin sulphate and hyaluronic acid.

Collagen is a structural protein. Chondroitin sulphate and hyaluronic acid belong to the glycosaminoglycan group. The presence of these substances alone does not establish any particular effect from feeding the product.

Fish Oil
Fish oil is an animal-derived fat source and an ingredient in the formula. The product therefore also contains fish-derived ingredients.

Devil’s Claw
Harpagophytum procumbens is the botanical name for devil’s claw. It is listed as a plant-based ingredient in the published product information.

Other Substances

Consider the Entire Daily Ration

DogoMaxy supplements the existing diet and does not replace a complete feed. Whether this supplement is suitable for your dog depends on the total daily ration and your dog’s individual needs.
