Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria):
The extract obtained from the flowers of Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria), better known as German Chamomile, contains all the water-soluble active ingredients present in the flowers, i.e. essential oil (rich in alpha-bisabolol, flavones, chamazulene and coumarins), flavonoids, polysaccharides, mucilages and sesquiterpene lactones, which give the plant and the preparation numerous beneficial properties for the treatment of the skin.
In particular, chamomile is known for its soothing, decongestant, healing and anti-inflammatory properties, which make it a perfect cosmetic ingredient to include in water-based preparations such as gels, serums, makeup removers, creams and masks with soothing effects.

Witch Hazel Virginiana:
Witch hazel extract is a preparation obtained from steam distillation of the leaves of Hamamelis Virginiana, a plant native to North America that has traditionally been used to treat circulatory disorders due to its astringent and vasoconstrictor properties.
Witch hazel, renamed witch hazel by the American colonists (a term still used by Americans and English today), concentrates most of its active ingredients in the bark and leaves, which are the parts of the shrub most commonly used in phytotherapy.
In particular, the leaves of witch hazel have a high concentration of tannins, flavonoids, gallic acid and mucilage, which give the plant important astringent, emollient and decongestant properties.

Calendula (Calendula officinalis):
Calendula extract is a preparation obtained from the flowers of Calendula Officinalis, an ornamental plant known in phytotherapy for its soothing and emollient properties.
The product obtained concentrates in water all the water-soluble components of the flowers, which make it an excellent remedy in the treatment of redness, burns and irritations.
The benefits are mainly due to the phytocomplex contained in the marigold flowers, a veritable treasure trove of mucilages, polyphenols, carotenoids, flavonoids, lycopene and essential oils, which contain 45 active ingredients.
These compounds, especially the carotenoids, give Calendula balancing, moisturizing, soothing and calming properties on skin tissues.
